WAYNE – The community is invited to watch Wayne elementary students run, skip, hop or walk around Kern Track during the Wayne Elementary Boosters (WEB) Fifth annual Fun Run.

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 18 between 8 – 11:30 a.m. to visit the Wayne Jr/Sr High School track. Parents are welcome to join or volunteer to help.

According to a release from WEB, the Fun Run is a great event for students focused on fitness and fun with music, Wayne State College student athletes and parents.

The Fun Run is the biggest fundraiser of the year that members from WEB put on. This year’s goal is to raise $6,000.

Students will be given a snack and reusable water bottle donated by Wayne State College and WEB after they complete their run.

Schedule:

Although it’s not required to collect pledges to participate, students who reach the individual $25 goal are automatically placed into a drawing to win a 2019 Wayne Outdoor Family Swimming Pool Pass donated by Wayne Area Economic Development.

There are additional incentives for the top 3 fundraisers, including a one-year family membership to the CAC (donated by WAED), a Wayne High Sports Activity Pass for a family of 4 (donated by Wayne High Sports) and four reserved seats and tailgate tickets to a Wayne State College football game (donated by WSC Athletics).
