FCCLA To Host Fall Festival Saturday, Thanksgiving Items Being Requested During Fundraising Event

WAYNE – This weekend will mark a fall festival event along with a fundraiser for a northeast Nebraska community.

According to a release from Wayne Community Schools, the Wayne FCCLA group is putting on the Saturday, October 16 event. This fall festival will allow the community to get together and welcome the season while participating in fun games and raffles as there’ll also be food and music.

FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women.

Non-perishable Thanksgiving items are being requested for the fundraiser to donate to families in the community.

Saturday morning will be highlighted by pumpkin painting, face painting, prizes, photo booth, bounce house, pumpkin lollipop pull and simple fall/Halloween inspired activities. Also, there’ll be fall inspired breakfast treats and drinks as participants are welcome to wear their Halloween costume.

Between 8 – 11 a.m., the Fall Festival and Fundraising event will be held in the Wayne Jr/Sr High School parking lot, weather permitting. The admission fee is non-perishable food items that include box stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, dried gravy mix packets, cranberry sauce, canned yams, cornbread mix, pie crust mix, canned pumpkin, cake mix, canned veggies and grocery store gift cards.
