PENDER – A northeast Nebraska hospital is welcoming in their newest family practice doctor this week.
Dr. Ashley Tiahrt began her first day Monday at Pender Community Hospital. PCH is located at 100 Hospital Drive in Pender.
According to a release from Pender Community Hospital, they are pleased to welcome Dr. Tiahrt to the family practice team. Dr. Tiahrt is a native of Nebraska and excited to be practicing in a community similar to the one where she grew up.
Dr. Tiahrt’s main focus is in women’s health, especially since in rural health, it’s often a challenge to find providers with OB capabilities.
Pender Community Hospital CEO, Melissa Kelly said they are glad to have Dr. Tiahrt joining the team, “she is a terrific family practice provider who is also skilled in obstetrics and can deliver babies.”
Dr. Tiahrt believes in establishing good relationships with her patients, saying it’s the best way to ensure health goals are being met. Just as important, she believes, is having regular checkups. She is looking forward to forming positive connections here in Pender and serving the community.
