WAYNE – For those who didn’t get a chance to take in a demolition derby or want to enjoy the thrill one last time, make plans to visit the Wayne County Fairgrounds this weekend.
According to a release, the ‘Fall Brawl Derby For a Cause’ will be held on Saturday, September 24.
Check-in will last from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. with a pit meting scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The derby will start at 5 p.m. The demo derby was started to establish a scholarship for trade school students.
From cars, food, drinks, prizes and family fun this is the Second annual Fall Brawl being a clean-up event.
For those who pre-register cost is $50 plus a t-shirt or there is a $60 fee for same day registration of the event. General admission and pit passes for those 13 and older is $25 while kids ages 6-12 years old is $10. Youth five and under are free.
Classes include Limited Weld, MODS, Bonestock, 90s & Newer and Mini Vans. Over $12,000 in total cash prizes will be up for grabs.
There are also two separate $300 cash payouts for the longest haul.
