Endangered Missing Advisory Activated for Missing Cass County Woman

SOUTH BEND – The Nebraska State Patrol has issued an endangered missing advisory for a Cass County woman.

At 9 p.m. Sunday a family member was checking on 70-year-old Sandra Root, but was unable to locate her at her South Bend residence. She had last been seen on March 2.

Family and deputies walked South Bend and the river area and a state patrol helicopter conducted an aerial sweep of the area on Monday.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 70-year-old Sandra G. Root, a 115-pound white female with gray hair. She was last seen wearing a long black coat, black boots and grey ear muffs.

Root may be on foot and was last seen on March 2 at 8:30 p.m. in South Bend. Information indicates she may be suffering a medical episode and may be disoriented.
