End Of Year Opportunities Being Offered At Wayne Public Library

WAYNE – A series of fun family-filled activities will be held at the Wayne Public Library in the final weeks of 2021.

According to a release from the library, these events will be available starting Tuesday, December 21.

Plan on joining the Wayne Public Library for a ‘movie after school day’ at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday where a light snack will be provided. The film is a combination of live action and animation and is rated PG which will last one hour and 55 minutes. For more information on the showing, stop by the library.

An in-house scavenger hunt will be available beginning Tuesday through the end of December. Find all 15 snowmen hidden in the library and you’ll receive a tasty treat. More information on how to participate can be found by stopping by circulation desk.

Oobleck snowman take and makes will also be available beginning Tuesday. This is a free take-home craft. Stop by the circulation desk to pick up your kit as supplies are limited, so first come, first serve. Make sure to share your pictures with the Wayne Public Library through social media.

A special ‘Winter Toddler Time’ will return with Miss Kim on Wednesday, December 22 at 10 a.m. Plan to read stories, dance to songs, play with busy bags and catch up with all your friends before the end of the year.

Youth escape rooms will also close out the year on Wednesday, December 29 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. along with an Adult and Teen Escape Room on Thursday, December 30 between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Hour time slots will be available for each escape room. Groups must also pre-register a team of 4-6 people to participate.

Wayne Public Library December Calendar 2021

Wayne Public Library regular hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday’s from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday’s from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and between 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday’s.

The Wayne Public Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday, December 24 – 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday along with being closed on Friday, December 31 and Saturday, January 1 for the New Year holiday.
