ARNOLD–An earthquake was reported during the early hours of April 9, at 4:33 a.m. Representatives from the National Weather Service (NWS) office in North Platte said the earthquake reached a magnitude of 3.3 and occurred approximately four miles southeast of Arnold.
The NWS said they received reports of residents feeling the earthquake from as far away as North Platte and also in Stapleton, Brady, Broken Bow, Merna, and Arnold.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was approximately 5 kilometers below the earth’s surface (about 3.1 miles), but the statistics on depth are still being reviewed.
The NWS said no damage has been reported as of 10 a.m. on Monday.
