WAYNE – In early November The Wayne Area Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will be hosting their 14th annual Auction & Membership Banquet Fundraiser.

Mark you calendar for Friday, November 2 to be at the Beaumont Event & Concert Hall, 26211 North HWY 15 (just north of the Wayne Country Club). The annual event is for wetlands and waterfowl conservation.

According to a release, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 13 million acres of wetlands and related waterfowl habitat since 1937.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. and a live auction to follow.

There are several price package options. For a dinner and membership cost is $40, a couple dinner and membership is $60, a sponsorship and dinner is $265 and for a Greenwing (youth 16 & Under) to attend is $15.

Bearnes, the chairman of the organized Wayne Area Chapter of Ducks Unlimited is from Laurel, Nebraska.

Local residents will have the opportunity to get involved in a practical conservation program while having a good time. The organization will be celebrating 81 years of Ducks Unlimited.
