Ducks Unlimited Banquet Set For November 6, Help Celebrate 83 Years Of Wildlife Conservation

WAYNE – As the Wayne Area Chapter of Ducks Unlimited looks towards the next generation of wildlife conservationist and hunters, the group will be hosting their annual banquet this week.

According to a release from Wayne Area Ducks Unlimited, the first 50 kids (15 years and younger) will be able to attend the 2020 banquet for free when accompanied by an adult member. A sponsor gift has been given to the chapter from area committee members to support Greenwings (DU young members 15 years & under). All Greenwings will be entered into a drawing of youth items.

The banquet, scheduled for Friday, November 6, will help celebrate 83 years of wildlife conservation. A social will open the evening at 5:30 p.m. followed by a dinner and auction at 7:00 p.m. from the Beaumont Event & Concert Hall just north of Wayne on Highway 15.

New generation of hunters will be the leaders of conservation in the future as the Wayne Area Ducks Unlimited Chapter would like to focus on the Greenwings in the area since it’s important for future programming and events.

Banquet tickets are available at the door or from any committee member. Also, those interested can purchase tickets online by visiting www.ducks.org/Nebraska/events. Cost for one person is $40 while couples are $60, greenwings at $15 and a National Bronze level sponsorship is $265. A dinner and membership to Ducks Unlimited is included in the price to attend.

This year’s banquet will include an auction of both collectible Ducks Unlimited art and memorabilia as well as other useful items for the hunter and collector. For additional information call 402-360-5005.
