Donation Made To Faith Regional Health Services

NORFOLK – A donation made to the Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk will go to the purchase of new infant incubators.

The donation of $2,500 made by the Modern Woodmen of Nebraska was accepted by Faith Regional Tuesday after a presentation on how the money will be used by the hospital.

Executive Director of the FRHS Foundation Jake Claussen says the donation is a way to keep families together during an important time in their lives.

“The infant incubator just allows us to continue to take care of babies we might normally have sent to Children’s Hospital or we might normally not have been able to take care of here. This will allow us to keep them here and again keep the baby and the families together.”

Claussen says he is thankful for the community outreach the hospital receives, and hopes that the hospital can give back to the public.

“Without having these types of partnerships, and the generous donations that we receive, some of these things just wouldn’t happen and we’re so grateful for that.”

Claussen hopes with the donation and the new baby incubator, more families will choose to stay in Norfolk to have their children.

He says the partnership between the community and the hospital can be more valuable than any donation.
