Dixon County COVID-19 Positive Cases Grows By One

WAYNE – Health officials with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department reported one new additional case of confirmed COVID-19 within their health district Thursday.

According to a release from the NNPHD Thursday evening, the patient is a resident of Dixon county and a male in his 20s.

The public health investigation has been completed, close contacts have been identified and are being contacted to ensure quarantine and isolation measures are being taken. The source of the infection has been identified.

As of Thursday evening, there have been 252 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.  The results of these tests include 20 positive cases (Cedar – 4, Dixon – 10, Thurston – 4 and Wayne county – 2), 204 negatives, and 28 tests currently pending results.
