WAYNE – Plan on completing a survey posted under the ‘Quicklinks’ tab at Wayne Community Schools.
According to the wayneschools.org website, Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) funds are being provided under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021.
This public law, 117-2, was enacted on March 11, 2021.
Wayne Community School parents, students, staff members and community patrons are invited to complete this survey.
ESSER III funds will address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students by combating learning losses, supporting social-emotional needs and ensuring a safe return to the school environment for students.
Wayne Community School officials will submit an application for ESSER III funds to the Nebraska Department of Education which must include input from a variety of stakeholders on how best to use these funds. Community input will impact how ESSER III funds are spent across the Wayne Community Schools District.
The deadline to complete the WCS ESSER III funding survey is Monday, August 9. School officials would like to thank you in advance for your input and participation.
Again, visit wayneschools.org and find the survey under the ‘Quicklinks’ tab.
