Dakota City To Offer Electronics Collection Event For Nebraska Residents, Businesses

WAYNE – As the Wayne Green Team continues to work through details for their annual electronics recycling event in the fall, the group wanted to pass along information about a free event this week in a northeast Nebraska community.

A ‘Scrap Computer & Electronics Collection’ is scheduled for Thursday, July 16 from the USDA Service Center in Dakota City (1505 Broadway). The event is open to Nebraska residents and businesses only between 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. They ask that no large appliances or microwaves be brought and as well as no computer or electronics repair or retail businesses attend.

The collection entrance will be at the corner of North 16th and Broadway.

The free collection event is sponsored by the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District and you can contact their office at 402-494-4949, ext. 3 with any questions. Financing is also being provided through the Litter Reduction & Recycling Incentive Grant Program of Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE).
