WAYNE – Close out the summer with a special Cruise Main in Wayne event Friday night with smoke and plenty of action.
The Friday, September 17 burnout competition is presented by Cruise Main in Wayne and Specialty Rides along with Wayne Area Economic Development and the City of Wayne. The competition will last from 6 – 8 p.m. at 113 South Main Street.
Along with the normal main street route for Cruise Main in Wayne participants, an entry fee of $10 per vehicle is being requested for those who would like to compete in the Burnout event.
Drivers who participate in the burnout competition will be judged on how much tire smoke they can create as more smoke, the better. Pre-registration in being accepted at the Wayne Area Economic Development Chamber office at 108 West 3rd Street while day-of registration will start at 4:30 p.m.
No one under 16 years of age will be allowed to drive, participate or compete in the Burnout Competition and no passengers will be allowed in vehicles competing in the Burnout Competition. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and will be required to complete a registration form along with signing a liability waiver to compete in the competition.
Each driver will be given a maximum time of 60 seconds per attempt to burnout or create smoke.
