WAYNE – As the Wayne County Board of Commissioners gear up for their first meeting of April, the topic of roads and bridges will be on the agenda for quite some time.
From the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Virgil Kardell will talk about plans for county roads in the area of a future subdivision.
Along with road/bridge updates, highway superintendent Mark Casey will go over contracts for a competitive bidding process and information from a conference call with the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency on March 28.
Both the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will be in the area assessing damages on Federal Aid roads starting Monday, April 1.
Phil Clement, David Levy and Kimberly Dickey will all be in attendance to talk about the Sholes Wind Energy Project. The decommissioning plan will also be brought up with NextEra.
Bids will be awarded for materials on two projects from early March as well as action will be taken on a new tri-axle dump truck.
The Wayne County Board of Commissioners will also go into executive session for an employee review.
