Congressional Art Competition Deadline Set For April 22

LINCOLN – Earlier this week Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE) announced the deadline for students who are interested in the arts to participate in the 2019 Congressional Art Competition.

According to a release from the office of Congressman Fortenberry, art competition entries should be submitted to the Lincoln office by Monday, April 22.

Congressman Fortenberry said, “The national Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity for Members of Congress to showcase the artistic talents of high school students from their districts. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated. “I encourage all interested students to learn more about this opportunity. Winning entrants will have the opportunity to attend the national reception in Washington on June 24, 2019 and view their artwork on display in the United States Capitol for one year.”
