WAYNE – Mark your calendar for an early December seminar and lunch at the Wayne Fire Hall.
The Wayne Area Economic Development Ag Task Force is set to host the 11th annual Agriculture Outlook Seminar and Appreciation Lunch. From the Wayne Fire Hall, located at 510 Tomar Drive, the event is scheduled for Friday, December 7.
Lasting from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. featured speakers include Marty Marx (Cover Crop Discussion), Kyla Habrock (Nebraska Pork Producers Association) and Doug Simon (Grain Merchandiser).
Complimentary tickets for the event are available from sponsoring businesses, according to WAED Executive Director Luke Virgil.
“This is their way of appreciating all of our Ag producers, any of our Ag businesses anybody tied with agriculture or just interested in agriculture talk to those sponsors, get a ticket and come out and listen.”
Information on the current trends as well as the future of Ag will be presented. Wayne FFA students will also present a sample of Parliamentary Procedure and at 10 a.m. Northeast Community College will set up their Precision Ag demonstration trailer.
The program will conclude with lunch and a travelogue on his recent visit to Japan by Doug Temme.
