Commissioners To Discuss Liquor License, Act On Issuance Of Highway Allocation Fund Pledge Refunding, Refinancing Bonds

WAYNE – A handful of agenda items will be set aside for updates during the Tuesday morning regularly scheduled Wayne County Board of Commissioners meeting.

From the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, the meeting will begin at 9 a.m.

An agenda item that was tabled last month will be featured early on in the meeting. The board will go into executive session before making a recommendation to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission on Manager Applicant for the Wayne County Ag Society Liquor License.

Following executive session, Wayne County Emergency Manager, Nic Kemnitz will provide an update on the Community Wildlife Protection Plan Steering Committee Designation.

Andy Forney with D.A. Davidson & Companies will bring forward more information of an Issuance of Highway Allocation Fund Pledge Refunding Bond Series 2021 and refinancing the 2015 Highway Allocation Bond. The board will look to take action on the Underwriting Engagement and Disclosure Letter; resolution No. 21-05 authorizing the call of Highway Allocation Fund Pledge Bonds, Series 2015 between March 26, 2021, and December 31, 2021 as well as Resolution No. 21-06 authorizing the issuance of Highway Allocation Fund Pledge Refunding Bond Series 2021.

Mark Casey, Highway Superintendent, will update the commissioners on road and bridge projects while Doug Elting, Berggren Architects, will provide another update on the courthouse restoration project.
