Commissioners To Discuss Bond Refinancing, Prioritize Courthouse Restoration Project  

WAYNE – Both the Board of Equalization and Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meetings Tuesday morning.

From the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, the board of equalization will first meet at 9 a.m. and approve a tax list acceleration for Lowell Olson. Tax rates for the 2019-20 fiscal year will then be set.

Moving into the board of commissioners meeting, Andy Forney with D.A. Davidson & Co. will go over the issuance of highway allocation fund pledge refunding bonds 2019 to refinance the 2014 bond issuance. The board will look to approve a resolution with the principal amount of not to exceed $1.45 million.

Highway superintendent, Mark Casey will provide road/bridge project and wind energy updates while addressing utility permit applications.

Towards the end of the meeting, another update will be discussed about the Courthouse Restoration project by Berggren Architects. The group will go over a document outlining the prioritization of work and how work should be done for the remainder of the project.
