WAYNE – Prior to the regularly scheduled Wayne County Board of Commissioners meeting, the Board of Equalization will meet Monday morning at 9 a.m.
From the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, the Board of Equalization will look to set their tax rates for the 2021-22 fiscal year prior to the commissioners meeting around 9:05 a.m.
Steve Muir will address United Healthcare Health Insurance while Emergency Manager, Nic Kemnitz will also bring forward information on the Middle Northeast Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
Six Lodging Tax Grant Applications have been approved by the Wayne County Convention & Visitors Bureau Committee as these recommendations are being passed onto the Board of Commissioners.
They include $500 for A Fall Affair sponsored by Wayne Area Economic Development on October 16; $1000 for Christmas in Wayne sponsored by WAED on November 18; $250 for Christmas in Carroll sponsored by Christmas in Carroll on November 19; $500 for Winside Community Park Christmas Lighting Ceremony (Winside Park Lighting) on December 3; $400 for Winside Museum Spaghetti Dinner (Winside Museum) on October 24 and $1000 for an Outdoor Holiday Decorating Contest (WAED) in December.
Board of Commissioners will also look to act on setting Fiscal Year 2022 Per Diem meal rates.
Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey will then close out this morning’s meeting with road and bridge updates as well as action on a utility line application.
