Cleveland, Ohio Man Arrested For Driving Under Suspension in Cedar County, Counterfeit Money Found

NORFOLK – The Nebraska State Patrol came across over $11,000 in counterfeit U.S. currency a part of a traffic stop in Cedar County

According to a press release from NSP, on Thursday, May 10 at approximately 6:30 a.m. a trooper clocked a 2014 Chrysler minivan traveling 99 mph in a 60 mile per hour zone. The location was on Highway 20 near the Cedar/Dixon county line.

The trooper discovered that the driver, Robert Nixon (42) from Cleveland, Ohio was driving under suspension. Nixon was arrested and as a search was conducted, troopers found $11,450 in cash which was determined by the United States Service to be counterfeit. The Dixon County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Nebraska State Patrol in this effort.

Nixon has since been lodged in Cedar County Jail as the investigation is ongoing.
