City of Wayne Offices Limit Access To Public, Will Remain Open During Normal Business Hours

WAYNE – Officials with the City of Wayne posted a notice Tuesday afternoon that will go into effect that evening in an effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

According to a release from the City of Wayne, the public will be allowed limited access into the City Hall beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 until further notice.

Staff members will remain in their office conducting businesses and may be contacted via phone. Contact the Wayne Police Department at 402-375-2626 as well as the Utility office and City Administrator’s office at 402-375-1733.

Those looking to pay utility payments, parking tickets and more by check or cash can be left in the drop boxes located in the front or back of the City Hall located at 306 Pearl Street. If paying in cash and don’t have the exact change, pay to the closest dollar amount as any extra money will be placed as credit on the next month’s bill. For those who pay less, will have a past due amount on their next month’s bill.

Other payment options can be made by using the City’s on-line bill pay services at www.cityofwayne.org or by calling 402-375-1733 with a credit or debit card.

City of Wayne staff will remain in the building and work during normal office hours.
