Chicken Show Committee Seeking Volunteer Organizations, Assist With Inflatables

WAYNE – As the Wayne Chicken Show is still over a month away, planning continues for events on Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14.

Committee members with the Wayne Chicken Show are in search for organizations to volunteer in helping supervise inflatables over a two-day period. The inflatables will be on Friday during Henoween from 6 – 10 p.m. and at Bressler Park on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Volunteers can work in shifts and there is a monetary reward.

The 38th annual Wayne Chicken Show will last from Friday, July 13 – Sunday, July 15 throughout the City of Wayne. This years theme is ‘Welcome to Fabulous Wayne America’.

After starting ‘Feather Thread Fridays’ last week, the Wayne Area Economic Development office will continue that trend until the Wayne Chicken Show. Be sure to wear the current or any past Chicken Show t-shirt on Friday’s.

2018 shirts can be purchased at the WAED office, Bank First, Elkhorn Valley Bank, Pac N Save, State Nebraska Bank downtown, Tacos & More, Swans Apparel and The Wayne Greenhouse. Cost for shirts size youth extra small through adult extra large is $18 as adult 2XL – 3XL is $20.
