WAYNE – The year-end Chamber Coffee event went virtual during Chamber Percs this past Friday morning along with the announcement of the final Holiday Stamp Card winners.
From the Campus Branch, State Nebraska Bank & Trust took the viewers on a tour of their new facility (SNBuilding) along with giving a demo for pickleball.
Luke Virgil, Wayne Area Economic Development Executive Director, said this was now how they were expecting to celebrate the final Chamber Coffee of 2020 but reminded community members to support others.
“Please also continue to support, eat, shop local,” said Virgil. “We need you to support our local business now more than ever. Because some of them are struggling, some of them are doing well but the only way to keep our community strong right now is to support local.”
The new location, is a full-service bank just like the downtown main branch. State Nebraska Bank & Trust offers loans, new accounts, cash deposits and more for customers who want to walk-in or go through the drive-thru.
Matt Ley, CEO of State Nebraska Bank & Trust signed the full occupancy stating it’s complete aside from a small list.
“Our general contractor, Otte (Construction Co.) has done a great job,” Ley added. “We’ve had a lot of local contractors as well as subcontractors. When we built it, we really wanted it to be local, then we went to northeast Nebraska, then all of Nebraska and then the midwest.”
The SNBuilding, located at 1010 Main Street, is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. with the drive-thru only being open on Saturday’s. The lobby is also open from 8 a.m. until noon at the main branch located at 122 Main Street.
There are still four offices on the second level to rent. Contact the Campus Branch at 402-375-1131 or the Main Branch at 402-375-1130 with any questions.
The official grand opening will be in 2021, as Chamber Percs took viewers on a virtual tour and talked more about the SNBuilding. Kaki and Dave Ley also provided a demo on the pickleball court and Virgil attempted a shot on the new basketball hoop.
