WAYNE – After opening under a new name in April of 2019, a location with the title Exhaust Pros has been in the same building for 15 years.
Community members joined Exhaust Pros Total Car Care Friday morning during the weekly chamber coffee. Located across from Mid States School Bus at 213 West 1st Street, the building has been leased for the past six years by two different owners.
Marsha and Shayne Johnston signed the lease last March and opened their doors a month later.
Shayne said he saw the opportunity on craigslist and the building has been owned by the same person for 15 years.
“He ran it as Exhaust Pros Lighting Lube for 10 years and then he got out of it leased it to another person that ran it as Exhaust Pros Lighting Repair for five years,” said Shayne. “Then he got out of it and it was up for lease.”
The couple recently had a repair shop in Walthill, Nebraska for 15 years.
Exhaust Pros Total Car Care is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. They also offer a 5% discount for students (with IDs) as well as military and veteran discounts.
The business has different brands of tires, batteries, bed toppers and more as they can do anything but body work.
“ACs, suspensions, check engine lights, oil changes, exhaust, alignments, tires,” Shayne added.
Once Shane installs the two more hoists that came from Walthill they’ll have five car lifts.
A ribbon cutting was also held Friday to officially welcome the business into the community.
