Chamber Coffee To Move Towards Wayne State College Campus, Bookstore To Host

WAYNE – Community members are invited to join the Wayne State College Campus Store Friday morning during Chamber Coffee.

Located inside the Kanter Student Center, the Campus Store is located on the east end of the building of the main floor. Chamber Coffee will start at 10 a.m. as parking is available in lot 10.

The Campus Store is contracted with Wayne State College and Tim Barnes has been the Store Manager since 2009. Barnes is originally from Newman Grove and operates what people think of as the bookstore.

“But, we have school supplies, clothing, gifts, snacks, health & beauty products in it,” said Barnes. “So, we try to be a one stop show for the students.”

As Wayne State College returns to school for the fall and spring semesters, the Campus Store will also change their hours. The store is open from Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Hours will also be adjusted for whatever is happening on campus.

Barnes is excited for the students to get back on campus as there are several activities going on now. Another new item will offer students a lower priced option called Cengage Unlimited, a subscription program.

“So, a student can enroll for a semester, a year or two years,” Barnes added. “For $119 for a semester, any class that they have that uses Cengage material they get access to that material for that $119.”

The Campus Store is also having a 30% off clearance from now until September 11. The first day of the fall semester at Wayne State College is Monday, August 20.
