Center For Rural Affairs To Offer A Trio Of Beekeeping Workshops

WEST POINT – Several beekeeping workshops have been scheduled for the month of July.

According to a release from the Center for Rural Affairs, three free workshops will be made available for those interested in beekeeping.

Three free beekeeping events are set for Nebraskans focused on getting a start in the industry. These workshops in Scottsbluff, West Point and Grand Island are hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs.

In northeast Nebraska, the West Point Beekeeping workshop will be held on Thursday, July 15 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the log cabin at Neligh Park (330 Center Building).

The Scottsbluff event will be on Friday, July 9 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. (MT) at the Gazebo from Centennial Park (400 East 20th Street) while the Grand Island workshop will be on Thursday, July 22 from 6 – 8 p.m. from the picnic shelter at Ashley Park (220 West Capital Avenue).

For those curious about beekeeping, join this training to learn about bee biology, how the hive functions as a system, costs to start beekeeping and where to begin.
