Cedar, Thurston Counties Report COVID-19 Positive Cases, NNPHD Health District Confirms Nine Negatives

WAYNE – Two counties within the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District added to their COVID-19 positive total Tuesday.

According to a release from NNPHD, the new patients are four from Thurston county and one from Cedar county while nine negatives were also confirmed.

As of Tuesday evening, there have been 1,326 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests are 249 positive cases (Cedar – 11, Dixon – 49, Thurston – 163 and Wayne county – 26) and 1,024 negative tests. Also, another resident has recovered bringing the total to 107.

NNPHD Health officials are also working on a reporting process for hospitalizations and deaths.
