WAYNE – A pair of counties within the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District saw a rise in COVID-19 positive cases entering the weekend.
According to a release from NNPHD, the new patients are two from Cedar county and three from Thurston county. They include three males and two females ranging in age from a child, 20s, 30s and 50s. There were also seven negative tests reported.
As of Friday afternoon, there have been 1,302 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests are 240 positive cases (Cedar – 10, Dixon – 45, Thurston – 159 and Wayne county – 26), 1,020 negatives and 42 tests currently pending results.
Also, NNPHD will change their release format to reporting COVID-19 information Monday – Friday with the weekend numbers being included on the Monday report.
