C1/C2 State Speech Results For Area Individuals

KEARNEY – Class C1 and C2 state speech competitors were in action on Thursday.

From Kearney High School, the 2022 NSAA State Speech Championships continued for a second straight day.

David City won the Class C1 Speech team sweepstakes with 142 points followed by Malcom in runner-up with 124 points.

Northeast Nebraska Class C1 state speech results came from Crofton in fourth (68 points); Homer in sixth (54) as Oakland-Craig and Battle Creek tied for 15th with 12 points.


Class C2 state speech champion was Hartington-Newcastle with 118 points while Twin River placed second with 70 points.

Northeast Nebraska Class C2 state speech results came from Plainview in fourth (62 points); Guardian Angels Central Catholic in sixth (42); Howells-Dodge and Hartington Cedar Catholic (T-10, 34 points); Wisner-Pilger (14th, 30 points) and Creighton (T-21st, 10 points).

The 2022 NSAA State Speech Championships close out with Classes D1/D2 on Friday in Kearney.
