Business After Hours Grill And Chill At Geno’s Steakhouse

WAYNE – The Wayne Area Economic Development Special Events Committee invites the public to their annual Business After Hours celebration which will be held at Geno’s Steakhouse from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 31. This year will feature a mystery box raffle.

Assistant Director of the Wayne Area Economic Development, Irene Fletcher Mock, encourages everyone to come out and have a fun start to the weekend.

“This event is open to the public and we are just encouraging everyone to come out for a Business After Hours to end the week with some beverages and some light appetizers and get a start to the weekend,” said Fletcher Mock.

The event will kickoff at 5 p.m. with a $5 admission charge that will include light appetizers. There will be a cash bar available. The May Business After Hours event has happened for quite a few years but this year will feature a new mystery box raffle.

“We’ve been doing it for quite a few years and it’s always taken a patio party feel and this year we changed up the theme to the “Grill and Chill” so we are featuring a the mystery box raffle and the “Grill and Chill” might give you a hint of what could be in that mystery box raffle,” said Fletcher Mock.

The Wayne Area Economic Development Special Events Committee wants to extend their gratitude to the sponsors of the mystery box raffle which include; Bomgaars, Elkhorn Valley Band and Trust, F&M Bank, Farmer’s State Bank, The Flower Cellar, First National Bank of Omaha, Geno’s Steakhouse, Highway 15 Salvage, Johnnie Byrd Brewing Company, Pac and Save, Quality Foods, State Nebraska Bank and Trust, The Market at Geno’s, and The 4th Jug.

The event is open to the public and begins at 5 p.m. with introduction of sponsors at around 6 and mystery box raffle to follow.
