CROFTON – Work is underway weather permitting on a northeast Nebraska road.
According to a release from the Department of Transportation, work includes bridge repair and asphalt overlay on N-121 from Crofton to 9.5 miles north.
Knife River of Sioux City, Iowa, has the $4,430,000 contract.
During the first phase of the project, traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions on the bridge at reference post 69.70 and temporary traffic signals. Once bridge repairs are complete, asphalt overlay will begin. County Road 893 will be closed to through traffic.
NDOT officials ask that drivers follow the marked detour as anticipated completion is late fall of 2021.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up and to put phones down.
