Bond Payments Seek Approval, General Discussion Items To Highlight Commissioners Meeting

WAYNE – A handful of general discussion topics will make up this week’s regularly scheduled Wayne County Board of Commissioners meeting.

From the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, the Tuesday, December 6 meeting will start at 9 a.m.

Commissioners will look to designate a representative and alternate to cast a ballot for Wayne County during the upcoming NACO Officer 2022 election.

A pair of Highway Allocation Fund Pledge Refunding Bonds will also seek approval for payments. They include Bond Series 2019 totaling $197,568.75 (including $200 paying agent fee) along with Bond Series 2021 totaling $142,130.00 (including $200 paying agent fee).

Resolution 22-22 will then seek approval. This will allow the county treasurer to invest and reinvest county funds.

A second resolution (22-23) will designate Elkhorn Valley Bank of Wayne; F&M Bank of Wayne; Wayne County Bank, a division of the Madison County Bank, Winside; State Nebraska Bank of Wayne and Nebraska Bank of Carroll as bank depositories for Wayne County.

Mark Casey, Road Superintendent will provide a road and bridge update before the board moves into general discussion.

Topics include an update on courthouse windows, building maintenance update from Pat Brentlinger, safety committee update and concerns, ARPA funds distribution, bidding process for future equipment purchases and employee raises for 2023.
