Board Of Education Meeting To Be Accessed Through Zoom, Final School Day To Be Set Monday

WAYNE – With the Wayne Community Schools Board of Education meeting looking to follow the social distancing guidelines, they have moved their regularly scheduled April meeting to allow the public to watch or listen in.

The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 13 where board members will hear personnel information about the Elementary Special Education and 7/8 Science teacher positions.

New business items will include the discussion of disaster declaration from the Proclamation of Governor Ricketts in mid-March as well as a Memorandum of Understanding through the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department.

The last day of the 2019-20 school year will be set and board members will look to accept the 2020 graduate list.

Elementary principal, Russ Plager will bring forward information on the science series textbook/curriculum and prices.

Dr. Lenihan will also post his weekly Facebook Live update on the Wayne Community Schools Facebook page following the meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday night.
