Big Fun At Plainview Klown Festival June 1st-3rd

PLAINVIEW – June 1st-3rd is Plainview’s annual Klown Festival. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are full of fun events for the whole family.

The Klown Festival kicks off Friday night with Jazzercise in the Park at 7. From 8-11, there will be a teen pool party and everyone is invited to the street dance at 9 p.m.

Saturday has events from 6 a.m. until midnight. Those looking for an active Saturday can take in the Plainview Ball Backers Baseball 12U Tournament from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., or take part in the Swim, Bike, Run Triathlon at 9 a.m. Nine-hole mini golf will run from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Starting at 4 Saturday afternoon, the Carnival Midway will be set up with games, kick darts, face painting, a balloon artist and pony rides.

The 12th Annual Highway 20 Hot Rod Car Show will run from 11 a.m. until 4. At noon, Plainview High School will host its 31st Annual All Class Reunion. Saturday evening the bandshell will feature a magician, Plainview Little Girls & Pirate Dance Teams and the Plainview Klown Band. Joseph Hall will perform at 7:30 Saturday evening, and during intermission, the Klown Festival will be see the Plainview Chamber Awards. From 8-midnight is the Firemen’s Dance with fireworks at 9:45.

On Sunday, the Plainview Fire Department will hold their pancake feed from 7:30 until noon. Church in the Park will be held at 10 a.m. before the kiddie parade at 1 and grand parade at 1:30. At 2:45, the Klown Doll Museum will hold a scavenger hunt.
