WAYNE – City Councilmembers in Wayne will discuss whether or not to continue using Zoom to allow the public and staff to attend meetings virtually during this evening’s regularly scheduled meeting.
The meeting will open at 5:30 p.m. from the Wayne Fire Hall located at 510 Tomar Drive. Those wishing to also view Tuesday evening’s meeting will be able to access a link under the cityofwayne.org website. Select the ‘Virtual Meetings’ tab under the ‘Government’ drop-down.
Council will hear an update on the COVID-19 pandemic before hearing about an action request item for a match funding assistance grant to be received by the Wayne Community Housing Development Corporation. This would be used for daily operations.
City of Wayne staff will then move into a few resolution items of accepting bids and awarding contracts. They include the purchase of a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD pick-up truck for the Streets Department; for playground equipment to be located in Sunnyview Park and the “Wayne State College Foundation Alumni House Sanitary Sewer Service Line Project”.
Another action item that will be addressed is for a Certificate of Substantial Completion for the “Wayne Senior Center – Room and Walk-in Freezer Addition Project”.
Council will also hear ordinance amendments for designated truck parking areas; parking restrictions and prohibiting parking. More information will be brought forward during the meeting.
