LAUREL – Earlier this month both the Nebraska Passport and Northeast Nebraska Passport Program began as the ‘Backroad Tour’ will feature several area stops.
During the ‘Best of the Backroads Tour of Northeast Nebraska’, 10 counites will feature over 100 businesses where visitors can enjoy the colorful landscape of the ‘rolling hills’ and the picturesque view of the Missouri River.
The ‘Backroads Tour’ began on May 1 and will last until September 30. Also, $7,000 in cash prizes are up for grabs.
To get started, you’ll need a map which can be found here and you’re off. Visit participating businesses and places to collect stamps in order to win cash prizes.
Participating Wayne businesses include AquaPop, Blue Cat Gallery and Studio, Sports Club Motel, The 4th Jug, The Flower Cellar, Thrift Warehouse, W.W. Galore, Wayne Country Club, Wayne Greenhouse & Gift Shop, Wayne Sculpture Walk and the Fred G. Dale Planetarium on the campus of Wayne State College.
Also, Blue Cat Gallery & Studio is listed as one of the 70 stops on the 2021 Nebraska Passport. This event also began on May 1 and will go through September 30. Visit nebraskapassport.com for the complete details.
Joining Wayne County will be Antelope, Boone, Boyd, Cedar, Dixon, Holt, Knox, Pierce and Rock counties.
Mail your completed forms to City of Laurel Economic Development Office located at 101 West 2nd Street in Laurel, Nebraska 68745. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to mail forms in is Friday, October 15.
