Battle Creek Tabs Norfolk Principal for Superintendent Job

BATTLE CREEK – An administrative opening in Northeast Nebraska is being filled by someone close to home.

A release from the Norfolk Public School District states that current principal at Norfolk High School, Jake Luhr, has accepted the open superintendent position in Battle Creek.

Superintendent Dr. Jami Jo Thompson says Luhr’s resignation will be made official at the Norfolk School Board’s next meeting on Monday. Luhr’s first day in Battle Creek will be July 1st.

Luhr takes over for Jay Bellar, who is stepping down to take over as executive director of the Nebraska School Activities Association.
