The Second annual Runza Feeds the Need fundraiser is scheduled for all day Tuesday. By visiting any Runza location at any time, 10% of all sales will be donated to local programs focusing on youth hunger and food insecurity.
Whether it be drive-thru, carry-out or dine-in, anyone can help by eating at their neighborhood Runza.
KTCH/KCTY will be broadcasting live from the Wayne Runza (618 East 7th Street) between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Runza in Wayne will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17.
Local programs working to alleviate childhood hunger will receive the proceeds from this fundraiser. In Wayne, the funds will benefit the Wayne Food Pantry and Backpack Food Program as well as the Wayne Public Schools Foundation Kindness Fund.
One in six children in this area don’t know when they will have their next meal. A child’s chance for a bright tomorrow starts with healthy food today.
