Assist Northeast Nebraska Scouts During Scouting For Food Saturday

WAYNE – With the weather clearing up this weekend, make sure to gather your non-perishable food items to be placed outside your home to be picked up.

Scouting for Food is one of the many ways Scouts help make a difference in their communities.

Scouts throughout northeast Nebraska will be collecting these items for local school Backpack programs and local food pantries for each town on Saturday, April 13.

If you would like to contribute to the food drive, place your non-perishable donations in a bag or box on your front steps or sidewalk. Make sure the items are somewhere that is visible from the road.

Scouts in Wayne and Wakefield will be picking up food items, after 8 a.m. and Scouts in Winside be picking up items after 9 a.m. also Saturday.

The most needed items for the food drive include: peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, canned tuna & chicken, cereal, pancake mix, canned fruit, vegetables and beans.
