Area LifeServe Blood Drives Slated For Early September

WAYNE – A series of early September community blood drives along with a high school blood drive in being scheduled in the coming weeks.

According to a release from LifeServe Blood Center, eligible blood donors are being requested to give blood at upcoming community blood drives across the state.

Blood is a vital part of treatment for countless illnesses and injuries afflicting local hospital patients in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Area communities of Wakefield, Allen and Pender will be hosting these blood drives in the month of September.

Wednesday, September 8: Wakefield Community Blood Drive from 2 – 6 p.m. at Christian Church of Wakefield (303 Johnson St.)

Thursday, September 9: Allen Community Blood Drive from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Legion Hall (104 2nd St.)

Tuesday, September 14: Pender High School and Community Blood Drive from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Pender Community Center (614 Main St., Suite 3)
