PONCA – Join Ponca State Park for another fun filled Saturday as they continue the Christmas in the Woods program. The day kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with crafting “Nature’s Ornaments”. Meet at the Resource and Education Center as Ponca State Park will help bring a creative twist with ideas of making ornaments fun for people and wildlife. Cost is $1 per craft and there is a limit of 30 people.
At 11:30 a.m. get together at the Resource and Education Center for Ponca State Park’s “Winter Critter Corner”. This program is fun for all ages as participants will get a snapshot of wildlife found along the Missouri River, especially during winter. Those who join in will get to see and touch live animals, furs, feathers, shells, skulls and more. This program is free.
From 1-2 p.m. Ponca State Park will host a Winter Wonderland photo booth. Winter props and costumes will be available and the photographer will e-mail participants their pictures via wetransfer.com. This is another free program at the Resource and Education Center.
From 2:30-4 p.m. join everyone at Ponca State Park for a Christmas party at the Resource and Education Center.
Finally, the day wraps up with a lighted hayrack ride at 5 p.m. The tour will travel from the Resource and Education Center to the Tri-State Overlook and back. This is a free event.
