Annual Banquet Set For February 6 With Nomination Deadline Being Friday, Residential Holiday Decorating Contest Ends December 31

WAYNE – As the Special Events Committee with Wayne Area Economic Development continues to plan the annual banquet, nominations for several awards are being accepted.

According to a release from WAED, this year’s theme is ‘A Red Carpet Affair’ and the banquet is being scheduled for Sunday, February 6 from the Beaumont Event and Concert Hall.

Nominations for Business of the Year, Educator of the Year and Citizen of the Year will be accepted through December 31. Stop by the WAED office at 108 West 3rd Street to pick up a nomination form to fill out or select the google documents which are highlighted above.

The 2020 Business of the Year was Magnuson Hopkins Eye Care, the 2020 Educator of the Year was Monica Jensen and 2020 Citizen of the Year was Sandy Brown.
