WAYNE – Plan on making an appointment through the American Red Cross during a mid-week blood drive in northeast Nebraska.
According to a release from the Wayne Area Economic Development office, The Beaumont Event Center in Wayne will be hosting the blood drive. The event will last from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29.

Blood donation is still safe for healthy individuals and blood supplies are critically low because of the cancellations of many blood drives due to COVID-19.
The staff at the Beaumont Event Center and the American Red Cross Staff are taking additional precautions to keep donors at safe distances, screening them before donating and screening their staff members. If you plan to donate, make sure to wear a mask to help protect each other.
