Alumni New And Old Being Called Upon For All-Class Band Reunion, Chance To Perform During Halftime Of WSC Family Day Football Game

WAYNE – Alumni of the Wayne State College band are invited to join and perform during halftime of this year’s Family Day game on Saturday, September 18.

According to a release from Wayne State College, band alumni are welcome to attend the pre-game tailgate, see the marching band perform and even play with the band in the stands.

Tune your tubas and tighten your snares for an All-Class Band Reunion on September 18 which is also Family Day at Wayne State College.

All WSC band alumni are welcome to attend and there is no cost to participate but you must RSVP by Monday, September 13.

 

Events for the evening include:

5 p.m. – Pre-game tailgate at Bob Cunningham Field (south end zone). Meal is provided, and there are reserved tables for band alumni.

5:30 p.m. – WSC Marching Band plays for tailgate attendees.

5:45 p.m. – Watch the Wildcat Marching Band’s pre-game performance.

6 p.m. – Football kickoff vs Minot State – Reserved seating for alumni band members with the Marching Band in the stands. Feel free to play along and mingle with the students

Half-Time – Join the Marching Band for a special performance on the field.

 

Wear your old band t-shirt or WSC gear to the event as a group photo will be taken at the tailgate.

After registering, the WSC Alumni Office will be in touch with you regarding event details, including whether you will need an instrument or if you plan to bring your own.

Dr. David Bohnert, Director of Bands at WSC, will also be sending music in advance.
