WAYNE – Plan on joining community members during a northeast Nebraska Visioning Session in Wayne this week.
Stop by the Wayne Country Club clubhouse on Thursday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided and the event is hosted by the Wayne Area Legacy Fund as well as Nebraska Community Foundation.
Starting this summer, the Wayne Legacy Fund will be moving into their third year of existence. Bill Dickey is the chairman of 12 committee members a part of the legacy fund and welcomes all to attend.
“So, this would be an opportunity for the community to come together,” said Dickey. “So, we invite the whole community to come out that night and share their ideas as far as what it is that we need; kind of a brainstorming session.”
The mission of the Wayne Area Legacy Fund is to “inspire generosity, invest resources, identify the anticipated needs and involve everyone in the betterment of the Wayne area.” The fund is dedicated to building an endowment that will grow and provide funding for generations to come.
Goals from the session will be to inform progress, engage in ideas and define their focus as a community.
