Again on Saturday, Two New Cases of COVID-19 in NNPHD Health District

BOTH residents of Dixon County and Thurston County. One patient is a male in his 70’s and the other is a female in her 20’s

WAYNE – Friday, we reported that Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department (NNPHD) had reported 2 new cases in the health district.  As of Saturday at 6:30pm, Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department (NNPHD) is reporting two new positive cases of confirmed COVID-19 within the health district.

Saturday’s patients are BOTH residents of Dixon County and Thurston County. One patient is a male in his 70’s and the other is a female in her 20’s. The public health investigations have been completed to find close contacts to ensure quarantine and isolation measures are being taken. The sources of the infections have been identified.

NEW TOTALS FOR THE FOUR COUNTY HEALTH DISTRICT

As of Saturday evening,  there have been 265 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne Counties. The results of these tests include 24 positive cases (Cedar – 4, Dixon – 12, Thurston – 6, and Wayne County – 2), 211 negatives, and 30 tests currently pending results.
