WAYNE – Northeast Power reports lines and poles down across the entire district due to the this afternoon’s storm. Northeast Power provided a formal announcement just after 7pm Thursday evening.
Northeast Power officials advise that residents in the area should assume all downed power lines are energized! Northeast Power continues to have crews out working to address the issues as quickly as they can. There are multiple transmission lines that are out and there are some broken transmission poles, in addition to many distribution poles and lines.
Unfortunately, Northeast Power cannot give an estimated time of service restoration at this time. Crews are working diligently to get the transmission system restored as soon as possible. Once transmission line issues are addressed they will attack the remaining isolated outages. Northeast Power thanks customers for their patience.
