Activities Scheduled For This Saturday At Ponca State Park

PONCA – Ponca State Park is ready for another Saturday of hands on and educational experiences for the public. It all starts from 9-11 a.m. with an introductory class on archery. Meet at the Eric Wiebe Shooting Complex and learn to shoot a bow and arrow. All equipment will be provided but participants must be at least five years of age. Cost is $1 per six arrows.

At 1 p.m. the Critter Corner program makes a return. Get a sense of the wildlife that is found along the Missouri River. Participants will be able to see and touch some live critters as well as furs, feathers, skulls, shells, and more. This is a free program offered at the Resource and Education Center.

Use your creativity at 3 p.m. during the Nature’s Canvas activity. Use natural elements to create a collage and appreciate the beauty of nature. Pre-register and meet at the Resource and Education Center. Cost is $3 per canvas with a limit of 20 participants.
