Activities At Ponca State Park For Saturday, January 12

PONCA – Join Ponca State Park for another fun filled day of activities this upcoming Saturday, January 12. The day starts at 10 a.m. with the Winter Critter Corner activity. Learn how animals stay warm during winter time and how they find food. Participants will be able to see and touch Ponca State Park’s winter time critters. This is a free event at the Resource and Education Center starting at 10 a.m.

At 1 p.m. join a Ponca State Park naturalist and discover shapes and patters of tracks various animals leave in the snow. Participants will then be able to design and take home their own unique pair of attachable tracks. Meet at the Resource and Education Center. This free event does have a limit of 30 participants.

Finally, at 2:30 p.m. take a nice winter hike. Enjoy the views Ponca State Park has to offer and learn tips and tricks to identify trees in the winter. Also learn about Ponca State Park’s Old Oak Tree. Meet at the West Shelter House for this free hike.
